FOUNDER The Cyber List 

Derek Harp has been an entrepreneur and adventurer his entire life.  Starting at an early age through to today he has sought out defining moments exploring the globe and relentlessly pursued the amazing experience and opportunity of drawing human beings together to create something from nothing.

For more than twenty years he has been a founder, co-founder, CEO inventor, advisor, investor and always evangelist for early stage companies.  Today as a professional speaker and the founder of The Cyber List, LLC he is focused on helping solve one the biggest problems of our modern hyper connected society – all of our hard-wired individual behaviors that lead to incredibly poor cybersecurity outcomes for us all.

Derek is also the founder and Chairman of the Control System Cyber Security Association International (CS2AI), a nonprofit organization with more than 15,000 affiliated individuals dedicated to supporting local practitioner peer groups around the globe.

Derek’s past experience includes founding two cybersecurity companies that were subsequently sold; one of which is the Cisco System’s Intellishield™ service today.  He also served as US Navy Officer which began his real-world education in security, information management and intelligence.

Derek lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Trisha and their two young sons.  In what little free time there is, Derek leads a Cub Scout pack of 150 children, serves on the Atlanta Chapter board of Entrepreneur’s Organization and is a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.  To learn more about Derek, visit his website at www.DerekHarp.com.
